Labs and Research Platforms

The ITRL house provides an open place for meetings and interaction for experimentation, and demonstration of research results are a core activity. We have developed various research platforms to support research initiatives . The platforms also serve as a meeting place for researchers, partners, engineers, and students.

Research Concept Vehicles

Advanced rolling vehicle platforms used in research, demonstration and education concerning future sustainable transport systems read more . All three Research Concept Vehicle platforms aim at realizing a research-based concept vehicle that will be used to validate and demonstrate current and future research results. The designs are modular to include research from several disciplines; they are highly versatile, enabling a wide array of different functions to be tested, e.g 2WD, 4WD, 2WS, 4WS, torque vectoring, SBW, etc.

Smart Mobility Lab

SML is a hub for experimentation of intelligent transportation solutions. In-house built platforms ranging from drones to full-scale vehicles.

Researchers at the SML push the limits of mobility by proposing new approaches to modern day transportation problems. Using in-house built research platforms ranging from drones to full-scale research concept vehicles and advanced technologies, such as the first 5G network to air in Sweden, the SML researchers demonstrate and validate their concepts to help guide our society’s transportation systems into a more sustainable and safe future.
